This Catechism was originally published to clarify the
theology of the Second London Baptist Confession that was written
in 1677 and published after the Glorious Revolution in 1689. This particular
edition of Keach's Catechism appears to have been edited at some point without
changing its essential message.

A. God is the first and best of beings.

A. Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.

A. The light of nature in man, and the works of God, plainly declare that
there is a God; but His Word and Spirit only, do effectually reveal Him
unto us for our salvation.

A. Adoption is an act of God's free grace, whereby we are received into
